Information we will collect from you

telent Technology Services Limited will collect the following data from you as part of your application:

  • name
  • telephone, email and postal contact details
  • previous and current employment history
  • educational background
  • contact details for referees
  • equality and diversity data if volunteered by you

How we use your information

  • We will use your information:
  • to provide our recruitment services to you and to facilitate the recruitment process
  • to enable you to submit your CV and/or application form to apply online for a job with us
  • to answer your questions and enquiries
  • on an anonymised basis to monitor compliance with our equal opportunities policy
  • to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us
  • to meet legal requirements
  • for internal reporting through a candidate’s recruitment journey

Data sharing

We may need to share your information with third parties so that they can provide services that we or you have requested including health assessments, references, qualifications and criminal reference checking services, verification of the details you have provided from the third party source, psychometric evaluation or skills tests. We will inform you if this is the case.

Data retention

Your Jobtrain account will remain live until 13 months of inactivity after which your personal information will be securely destroyed. If you are successful in gaining a role, we will keep a copy of your data on our internal file and will inform you of how we will use your data whilst working for us.

Talent pool

If you are unsuccessful in applying for a role but keep your Jobtrain account live, we will keep you in our talent pool and may notify you about other suitable opportunities. If you do not wish to receive these communications, please let us know or close your Jobtrain account with us.

Job offers

It is customary for us to send job offers by post, but if you request a copy by email, we will email a copy to your registered e-mail address.

Data storage and security

All personal data collected is stored on UK servers and we use technical and organisational measures to safeguard it. We are certified to ISO 27001. This family of standards helps us manage your information and keep it safe and secure.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk.
