The Crown Estate is recruiting for an experienced planning and policy manager to work across its Scotland Portfolio.


The key responsibilities of this role will be to build and manage relationships with a range of external stakeholders to ensure that business decisions are informed by the views of the stakeholders. You will be reviewing and responding to emerging plans and policies in Scotland with the objective of maintaining and enhancing the value and reputation of the business. You will also be providing internal guidance on planning and consenting issues in relation to marine issues and providing input to the development and implementation of internal processes associated with stakeholder and community engagement.


You will have demonstrable experience of successful stakeholder engagement, reputation and issues management. Your experience to date will include terrestrial planning and policy framework, an understanding of the consenting framework for marine projects in Scotland and their stakeholders, experience of working with government bodies and preparing responses to policy consultations. You will have exacting organisation skills, and the ability to successfully and confidently influence others. Your working style will be flexible along with a keen interest in developing professionally to meet the requirement of evolving business needs.
