Job Purpose:
This is a 12-month contract covering maternity leave. This role plays a key part in managing the financial health of the organisation, providing strategic and operational support to ensure financial efficiency and compliance. You will be responsible for supporting the organisation’s private operations by delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, budget management, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and financial reporting in line with group deadlines.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the chart of accounts.
- Collaboration with Senior Leadership to shape decision-making.
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll support, and supplier payments.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, active cash flow forecasting and management, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, HMRC, UK GAAP, and all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain finance procedures, controls, and documentation, while supporting audits and process improvements.
- Board and investor reporting, including monthly KPI packs.
- Support, manage, and develop finance team members where required.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a finance role, ideally within the healthcare or private sector.
- Proficient in Sage and advanced Excel, with hands-on experience building financial models, budgets and forecasts
- Experience with Xero and Zoho is desirable.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of UK financial regulations.
- Experience in financial planning, analysis, and management reporting.

Working Hours and Benefits:
