This role has been categorised as home-based, meaning that you will work from home for the majority of the working week because you can fully deliver services in that way. Although you’ll be a home-based colleague, you might sometimes need to be physically present at another location or be expected to travel to a Thirteen hub for collaborative work.
We’re looking for an Income Co-ordinator on a full time, permanent basis to assist and support in the delivery of an effective income setting service across the business, delivering outstanding customer service aligned to strategic objectives and aiding in income maximisation, with responsibility for supporting service, rent and other charge setting, budget monitoring and review processes.
You’ll be supporting the Head of Finance (Income) and the Income Analyst in the provision and reconciliation of rent and service charge information for customers. You’ll ensure that we remain legally compliant and safe with setting and reviewing of rent, service, and other charges.
As a member of the service income team, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with other teams across our organisation. You’ll gain a great understanding of the wider business, and how the service income team can support and influence decision making with a view to maximising income whilst ensuring we deliver high quality value for money services to our customers.
Though this is primarily a home-based role there will be occasions where you’ll have the flexibility to carry out scheme visits and residents’ meetings, and occasional office based collaborative meetings.
We’d be interested in hearing from you if you’re a Service Charges Accounting Officer/ Finance Officer or other suitably qualified individual ideally with a broad housing sector experience to join our specialist service income team.
If you’re a flexible and adaptable with an eye for detail, possessing excellent numerical skills, spreadsheet and database knowledge and are customer focused then please read on.
You’ll have relevant experience of service charge setting and/or accounting, including budget monitoring and reserve fund reconciliations. You’ll also have experience of multiple tenure accommodation types, including leasehold and shared ownership with a knowledge of lease and tenancy interpretation is also an advantage.
With a good understanding of housing and financial systems and processes, you’ll be performance-driven and capable of working under pressure, working to tight time scales and deadlines.
With demonstrable experience in the solving of challenging numerical reconciliations and problems, you’ll be a team player and able to work as an individual using your own initiative. You’ll have a clear understanding of our values and behaviours and be able to evidence examples in your interview.
