Thrings is a vibrant expanding law firm with a diverse client base offering excellent career prospects to talented and driven individuals.  We operate in offices in Bristol, Bath, London, Swindon and Romsey, serving clients within the UK, but increasingly with an international presence.

We’re a client focused firm who has award winning lawyers working for us.  We’re noted by Chambers & Partners for the relationships we’ve built with our clients, and the increasing presence we’re building in the markets and clients we serve.  We provide a range of services to different clients in areas such as Agriculture, Private Client, Corporate & Commercial and Commercial Property and are noted for having specialists that practice in each of these areas.  We work across offices, with different practice areas to best serve the needs of our clients.

On the back of successive years of growth, our nationally renowned Agriculture team are looking to recruit a litigation Solicitor.  Our Agricultural litigation team work across our Bristol, Bath and Romsey offices but support clients nationally; we’re one of the largest dedicated agriculture teams in the country.  The team are driven and looking to grow their presence further, through successful recruitment and progression of talented lawyers; now is a good time to join to be a part of the ambitious 5m+ growth plans.  Our team of highly regarded and sought out experts are ranked in Tier 1 by Chambers & Partners and in the Top Tier by Legal 500. They also sit on the panel for seven NFU counties; more than any other UK Law Firm.

To be our next recruit you will need to show us that you are a self-starter who wants to learn and grow from the expertise around them. You will need to demonstrate commercial acumen and have excellent client care skills to support clients in reaching a favourable outcome. The role is client facing with full support and supervision from a nationally recognised team. If you have experience of working with rural clients, then this is advantageous.  The role would suit someone with experience in property litigation which forms the majority of the work however there is scope to become involved in additional litigation if you are keen, for example farm partnership disputes, farm inheritance disputes, contractual disputes and negligence claims; this isn’t a restricting factor if you haven’t dealt with any or all of these matters. You must have litigation experience either through the course of qualification to Solicitor or through the CILEX route as a Chartered Legal Executive.  The important factor is that we want someone who is looking to establish their career and who is keen to be a part of our long-term growth plans.  As a client focused firm our relationships and affiliations mean a lot and we take pride in our prestigious reputation in this sector. Therefore someone who has excellent client care skills will be a welcome addition to this friendly and supportive team.

The role is flexible, including office location. We are more interested in the right person rather than where you live or the level of your experience. There are also opportunities for home-based working, which is key to striking the right work/life balance.  Furthermore, there is a benefits package on offer that enables you to tailor the perks of working at Thrings to your personal circumstances including Private Medical Insurance, health checks, the ability to buy and sell holiday, discounted gym membership, support for continued personal development and much, much more.  If all of this sounds interesting to you then we look forward to receiving your application.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.  If you require any reasonable adjustments as part of the recruitment process or when employed, then do let us know.
