Thrings is a vibrant expanding law firm with a diverse client base offering excellent career prospects to talented and driven individuals.  We operate in offices in Bristol, Bath, London, Swindon and Romsey, serving clients within the UK, but increasingly with an international presence.

We’re a client focussed firm who has award winning lawyers working for us.  We’re noted by Chambers & Partners for the relationships we’ve built with our clients, and the increasing presence we’re building in the markets and clients we serve.  We provide a range of services to different clients in areas such as Agriculture, Private Client, Corporate & Commercial and Commercial Property and are noted for having specialists that practice in each of these areas.  We work across offices, with different practice areas to best serve the needs of our clients.

Our Hampshire based Agriculture team are looking for an  experienced Solicitor (most likely to have at least 8 years PQE) to join them in their Romsey office located on the Broadlands estate.  Supporting the team who act for landowners, estates, farmers and agri-businesses, headed up by our highly regarded Partner, you will assist on non-contentious property cases  which include complex strategic land projects.  The Agriculture team are number 1 in Chambers & Legal 500 with many of the team holding ranked status for their work.  As market leaders working with exceptional clients it’s a great time to join the team.

You’ll be able to demonstrate that you’re a  Solicitor with a high attention to detail  and technical skill in drafting property documents, and who enjoys intellectually challenging legal work. A technical knowledge of Agricultural Law is desirable but not a prerequisite necessarily for the role. (Applicants wishing to work part time may be considered for the role).

Working as part of the small team based in  a superb converted barn, you will form part of the larger firm wide Agriculture team that serve clients nationally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting property documents (often complex)
  • Preparing and drafting reports to be presented to clients
  • Research and technical expertise to support other lawyers in the firm’s Agricultural team.
