Our market leading Agricultural team based in Bristol are looking for an experienced Legal Administrator/Secretary to join them for a minimum of six months.  Supporting a team including Partners, Associates and Solicitors you will need to be a strong administrator to support this growing team effectively.  Your support will vary across the team, but will include the following areas:

  • Answering email and telephone queries, redirecting as appropriate to the necessary Fee Earner for review
  • Producing letters/documents in line with the Fee Earners requirements
  • Diary management, ensuring appointments are accurately scheduled and catered for
  • Ensuring electronic files are updated with accurate documents relevant to each case
  • Working with the team to produce draft bills and breakdowns for services to be charged to clients.

Ideally you will have experience of being a Legal Administrator, however we recognise that there are lots of highly organised, driven individuals who are keen to learn new skills in a new role; if you’re used to working under pressure and would like to work with a team that deals with interesting and sometimes difficult issues for their clients in finding and delivering solutions this could be the role for you.  In order to excel in this role you need to be a strong communicator, confident in dealing with people and as part of a team to help manage the demands from different Fee Earners and clients and feel comfortable and able to help manage and deliver the expectations of all parties.

At Thrings we give a client focused service and we need someone who is able to support the Fee Earners progress matters efficiently.  You’ll be working with the key members of the team in assisting them to progress matters, helping in the preparation and production of documents and correspondence, making sure all diaries are kept up to date and making appointments if needed.

If you’re driven, highly organised and up for a challenge this could be just the role for you.  We offer some great benefits as part of the package including an additional day off for your birthday, and ‘just because days’ including cream teas, charity days supporting local causes and events funded by the Firm.  The office is located in the heart of Bristol City Centre, a short walk from the train station, with bus links and car parks close by.  If all of this appeals to you, we’re looking to hear from you!

Thrings is a vibrant expanding law firm with a diverse client base offering excellent career prospects to talented and driven individuals.  We operate in offices in Bristol, Bath, London, Swindon and Romsey, serving clients within the UK, but increasingly with an international presence.

We’re a client focussed firm who has award winning lawyers working for us.  We’re noted by Chambers & Partners for the relationships we’ve built with our clients, and the increasing presence we’re building in the markets and clients we serve.  We provide a range of services to different clients in areas such as Agriculture, Private Client, Corporate & Commercial and Commercial Property and are noted for having specialists that practice in each of these areas.  We work across offices, with different practice areas to best serve the needs of our clients.
