The Vindis Group is seeking to appoint a Driver (Part Time) to join its team at Northampton Van Centre. The working pattern for this role would be from Monday - Friday, from 1.00pm - 6.00pm; and Saturdays, on a rota basis, from 8.30am - 1.00pm.

Your role will predominantly be focused upon the collection and return of customers' vehicles, which have been booked into the Aftersales Department for servicing and/or maintenance work. You will often, therefore, be the first point of contact, or the only point of contact, that a customer physically has with the business. It is essential, therefore, that you are well-presented, courteous and professional; and that you can confidently communicate with others.
Timeliness is necessary within this role, to ensure that customers' expectations are met; however so too is respecting the rules and regulations of the roadways. You will be expected to drive in accordance with these rules and regulations; and, on occasions, you will be doing so with customers as your passengers. It will be important, therefore, to understand how to build rapport with customers and how to engage in conversation that is appropriate and interesting.
As the timings for the collection and return of vehicles can fluctuate, you will also be expected to engage in wider activities that support the daily operation of the business e.g. site maintenance, the care of vehicle stock etc.
This is a role for an individual that is helpful and versatile, and who consistently approaches their duties with a positive mind-set.
A full UK driving licence is required. Due to insurance purposes you must be 21 years of age or over to apply.
