We are looking for a team of energetic and outgoing people to become Coo-Visors (advisers), travelling around Scotland providing inspiration and information at some of the country’s biggest and best events, visitor attractions and tourism hotspots.

The vans, designed as Highland Coos are part of VisitScotland’s strategy to provide inspiration to visitors in new and innovative ways and in doing so extend a ‘personal touch’ to outreach marketing activity, passing on distinctive information about things to see and do throughout the country.

The initiative continues the success since 2016 and forms part of our #ScotSpirit campaign, aiming to inspire the world to discover and share Scotland’s unique spirit– whether it’s the magic of the landscapes or the warmth of the people.

The role holders will be required to drive across the country to key events throughout Scotland, engaging with locals, tourists, and industry. You will be at the forefront of delivering a new approach to customer service.

Post holders will be based in Edinburgh/Glasgow/Inverness/Perth and will be travelling to, and work in, a variety of locations across Scotland as the outreach programme dictates/dependent on business need.

Knowledge/Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • Clean drivers licence essential
  • A positive, enthusiastic, committed and ‘can do’ approach
  • Opportunity and ability to adapt to change at short notice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Team player

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Scotland
  • Foreign language skills
  • Good working knowledge of day to day IT
  • Social media skills
  • Experience of writing for digital channels an advantage


Due to the requirement to drive a van, our insurance policy dictates that candidates for this position must be 25 years or older.

VisitScotland actively promotes the Gaelic language and an interest in the language or possession of Gaelic Language skills would be considered a desirable attribute in any prospective employee
