Senior Technical Officer
Starting salary between £33510 and £40383 per annum
Based at Regis Place Offices, Kings Lynn
If you have a high degree of technical ability and broad experience in the construction industry with the ability to manage, motivate and lead a team carrying out a technical role, we have an opportunity for you to join our Care and Repair Team.
You will play a key role responsible for the day-to-day management of the Care and Repair Technical Officer Team to ensure it operates as efficiently as possible, and that works are carried out to a high standard. The team will provide technical advice to vulnerable clients in their property for repairs and adaptations which enable people to remain in their own homes to make a difference to the west Norfolk community. You will also manage the technical complex cases ensuring cost effective solutions for our clients.
You will have a HND (or equivalent) in a building related subject with post qualification in a technical role including the use of computer aided design software, together with experience of effectively managing staff and performance. You will have thorough knowledge of building regulations, planning procedures and have expertise in Party Wall Act procedures, building defects and building pathology. You must have a full driving license to be able travel around the Borough.
