Casual Walks Café Assistants
Rate of pay: £12.65 per hour (plus cost of living increase)
Based at Walks Cafe, King’s Lynn
If you are friendly, reliable, and passionate about delivering great customer service, we have an opportunity for you to work in the heart of The Walks, which is a much-loved historic urban park with visitors coming to enjoy this beautiful 18th‑century green space.
We are looking for Casual Walks Café Assistants to help provide a welcoming and high-quality café experience at the Walks Café. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a customer-facing role within a busy and vibrant environment, supporting visitors from arrival through to departure.
You will support the day-to-day operation of the café, serving customers efficiently, handling cash and tills accurately, preparing displays, rotating stock and maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and food hygiene. You will have a confident manner, good communication skills, and a positive, can-do attitude, along with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
This is a casual, as-and-when-required role, working on a rota basis that may include weekends, evenings, school holidays and bank holidays, with additional hours available during peak visitor periods. Previous cash-handling or customer service experience is desirable, but above all we are looking for enthusiastic people who take pride in providing outstanding service.
