Initial salary between £26,064 and £31,152 per annum

Based at King’s Court Council Officer

As part of a small Housing Standards team you will carry out housing inspections in relations to properties of all types using appropriate enforcement action where needed in connection with properties which are in disrepair, overcrowded or with hazards.  You will also assist in the licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation and residential caravan sites.

With a relevant Degree (or equivalent), you will have experience of inspections and enforcement with a working knowledge of current housing related legislation. You will be able to effectively and efficiently manage a diverse caseload with minimum supervision and have excellent communication and negotiation skills.

This appointment will be made subject to a satisfactory enhanced criminal record check through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
