Product Analyst
Salary: c. £30,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid (Office: West Bromwich)
Are you a motivated and passionate individual who wants to make a real impact for customers If so, the Product Analyst may be for you.
In this role you will learn all about product development and management, playing an integral part in ensuring the Society’s mortgage and savings product ranges meet the needs of our customers and deliver good customer outcomes, whilst also delivering key business objectives within risk appetites.
You will work with colleagues across the business and will have the opportunity to present to senior leadership.
What the role will look like:
- Monitor and analyse performance of mortgage and savings products and propositions, tailoring how information is presented so that it is suitable for various audiences.
- Track and analyse competitor activity and provide up to date market insights to support product pricing decisions and proposition development.
- Develop new business and retention pricing proposals for mortgage and savings product ranges.
- Use a range of Excel-based financial models to support your decision-making and recommendations.
- Identify and manage risks (financial, conduct and operational) within the product range and ensure compliance with regulation and internal frameworks and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure good customer outcomes are delivered by putting the customer at the heart of everything you do.
- Present your proposals to Product Consideration Group (PCG) and take minutes of this and other Committees, as required.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders on all things related to Product.
- Become a Product expert, sharing knowledge and providing support and guidance to colleagues across the business.
What you will bring to the role:
- A good understanding of mortgage and savings products, and what customers need from these.
- Numerate, analytically minded and the ability to use logic to solve problems.
- Good working knowledge/practical skills of Microsoft Office software, specifically PowerPoint to create engaging presentations and Excel to manipulate data using a range of formulas.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to tailor your style to be appropriate for difference audiences.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise.
