Commercial Contracts Solicitor - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 per annum
Hours: 21 hours per week - 3 Days (4 Days will be considered)
Contract: 12 Month Contract
Location: Hybrid (Office: West Bromwich)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Contracts Solicitor who will join our Legal & Secretariat team and will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts.
The Commercial Contracts Solicitor will lead on commercial and contract law, and be able to interpret legal documents. The post holder will be involved in training of contractual principles and be responsible for upskilling of the team with regards to the Contracts and Litigation.
What the role will look like:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts
- Provide legal and strategic advice to the Legal & Secretariat Team and the wider business
- Ensure all Society contracts comply with local, regulatory and national laws
- Ensure all company contracts comply with local, regulatory and national laws
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legislation
- Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment between contracts and business strategy
- Deliver training to the Legal & Sec and the wider Society on contractual and legal matters
- Take proactive measures in upskilling the team and act as a mentor
- Be a team player and perform any other duties as necessary
What you will bring to the role:
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience in commercial contract law
- Proven track record in drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts
- Excellent knowledge of contract law and commercial law
- Strong understanding of business and commercial affairs
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) and a valid practising certificate
- Ideally to have experienced working in a Top 100 Law Firm at a Managerial position
- Have previously acted as a mentor
