About the role

As a Business Support Officer, you will be a key support for local service delivery, working closely with Housing Officers and Head of Housing. This position is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the Integrated Housing Management (IHM) system, ensuring data accuracy, timely rent payments, and efficient processing of housing applications. The role also oversees agency invoicing and Integrated Purchase Order System (IPOS), and support various housing initiatives including Homestake, Shared Ownership, and Non Standard Lets. The postholder will foster strong partnerships with local authorities and external agencies, coordinating joint projects and ensuring seamless communication. Additionally, they will ensure accurate updates to the Universal Credit (UC) portal and provide support to internal users of housing systems.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to juggle a variety of tasks efficiently. Experience in delivering high-quality administrative support is essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and related systems. Excellent communication skills are required to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. A proactive attitude, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion are all key attributes for this role.
