Job Description

Data, MI and Reporting Lead – Supply Chain Operations

Join us as our new Data, MI and Reporting Lead in the Supply Chain Operations team – a pivotal role responsible for delivering high-quality data, management information (MI), and reporting that enables effective decision-making across Supply Chain Management (SCM). Reporting directly to the SCM Operations Manager, you’ll be the data steward for SCM, shaping how we use data to drive insight, compliance, and performance. We offer genuine ownership, career development, and a strong employee value proposition, with flexibility and support to help you thrive.

About the role

As Data, MI and Reporting Lead, you’ll:

  • Improve decision making across SCM through accurate, timely, and insightful MI that highlights risks, trends, and opportunities.
  • Enhance data integrity and governance, ensuring SCM data meets audit, compliance, and regulatory standards.
  • Create greater operational efficiency through automation and streamlined reporting processes, reducing manual effort and error rates.
  • Foster stronger cross functional alignment with Finance, Risk, Technology, Property, and SCM by improving data flows, literacy, and shared understanding.
  • Increase organisational transparency via high quality dashboards and KPI reporting that clearly track performance, compliance, and strategic progress.

What you'll do

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment to governance standards. Protects the integrity of SCM data used for audit, compliance, and decision making.
  • Convert complex datasets into meaningful insight. Interpret trends, identify risks, and highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and maintain dashboards and MI packs that provide clear, actionable information.
  • Work across SCM, Finance, Risk, and Technology to improve data flows, literacy, and capability. Communicate with technical and non technical audiences.
  • Ensure reporting supports regulatory, audit, and risk requirements. Evidence controls, track KPIs, and support review processes.
  • Produce regular and ad‑hoc reports for SCM, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevance.
  • Deliver monthly MI including but not limited to:
      • New supplier data from Oracle
      • Purchase Order (PO) data for all POs raised each month
      • Spend analysis and category level insight
  • Develop, update, and enhance dashboards that track performance, KPIs, compliance, and trends.
  • Ensure dashboards are user friendly, automated where possible, and support decision making.
  • Track key metrics across Procurement Operations, Category Management, Risk, Supplier Relationship Management and Property.
  • Highlight variances, trends, and risks requiring escalation.
  • Provide robust evidence for internal/external audits, including data extracts, reports, and explanations.
  • Support compliance reviews by ensuring data aligns with documented processes and frameworks.

About you

You’ll bring experience in data extraction, transformation, and validation (ideally from ERP platforms such as Oracle), dashboarding and MI reporting (Power BI, Tableau, or similar), and be passionate about delivering high-quality insight and strengthening data stewardship.

  • Strong ability in data extraction, transformation, and validation, especially from systems like Oracle or equivalent ERP platforms. Proficiency with dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar). Experience producing Spend reporting, KPI dashboards, and benefits tracking. Understanding of SCM processes such as supplier onboarding, POs, contracting, and spend governance. Ability to manage structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Strong numerical and analytical capability, capable of spotting patterns, anomalies, and data issues. Experience building and maintaining BAU and adhoc reporting for multiple stakeholders. Ability to create commentary and insight, not just data outputs.
  • Excellent communication—able to simplify complex data and build stakeholder understanding. Methodical, detail oriented, with strong personal ownership of data quality. Collaborative and proactive, with a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, finance, or risk reporting environments. Previous involvement in audit preparation, compliance reporting, or control testing. Exposure to data governance or stewardship frameworks.
