Job Description
Our friendly but busy Financial Crime Team works in partnership with our business to protect the Society and its members from financial crime. As a Fraud Specialist in this exciting role, you’ll play an important part in doing just that by protecting the Society from fraud.
About the role
As a Fraud Specialist, the day to day is extremely interesting and varied where you protect both YBS and our customers. Some tasks that you will be responsible for include –
Responsibility for the critical analysis of fraud related activity ensuring that decisions are consistently applied, adhere to relevant standard operating procedures, reflect the current economic situation, comply with FCA and other regulatory regimes and are aligned to the current risk appetite
As an SME providing specialist technical advice to colleagues across the business
Supporting the implementation plans across the Team, to service level agreements and quality targets ensuring an exceptional customer/ colleague experience and protecting the YBS Group
About you
The Fraud Specialist plays a very important role at YBS! What will you bring to the role?
Experience in a Financial Crime Investigator, Financial Crime Analyst or working within a similar Financial Crime/ Fraud role
Using fraud prevention systems such as National Hunter or CIFAS
Experience in investigating mortgage and savings fraud
A good understanding of the mortgage and savings application journey
