As our next Network Engineer you’ll provide technical expertise to deliver and maintain compliant and performant network data, security and telephony services across YBS. You’ll join a likeminded team in our Bradford based Technology Operations function.
What You'll Do
Provide daily support of incidents and change requests within the Network Service Data Team
Responsible for the installation, configuration and support of Production, Non-Production and Disaster Recovery Networking infrastructures
Other tasks will include design, documentation and subsequent installation, configuration and support of infrastructure required to sustain the various phases of Network implementation, from development through to live transition and support
Previous experience in designing, implementing and supporting LAN/WAN networks within a large-scale corporate environment
Have a good understanding of Internet Protocol (IP) networks
Are experienced in implementing security techniques around Internet facing services
Have a solid understanding of DNS and DHCP in Windows/Unix and Internet environment
Possess an understanding of vulnerability assessment/penetration testing
Experience of OSPF, BGP, Spanning-Tree, VPN’s and Wireless technologies
Security/firewall experience including Cisco ASA’s (with FirePOWER) and Check Point
Have a proven background of using network and security monitoring/troubleshooting tools to identify and fix problems on the network
Possess good Security/Network problem diagnosis and resolution skills
