As our next Mobile Technical Lead (internally known as Technical Lead) you’ll lead the development team to build, implement and support our Mobile Application. You’ll join a likeminded team in our Leeds based Digital Services function (currently working remotely).
What You'll Do
Contribute and drive the continual professional excellence of in house native mobile application design and development within our Digital and Marketing team.
Support and coach Mobile application Developers and resolve technical and IT issues
Work into IT to meet current and future challenges faced by delivery and engage across IT and stakeholder groups to resolve issues
Direct and lead the provision of developers and development activity across the Group, ensuring solutions are efficient, modular, standards compliant and deliver valued business system changes compliant with the Group strategy
Main point of contact to deal with wider YBS IT change releases and impact on Mobile application developments
Manage the capability & capacity of developer resources, ensuring that the team adheres to YBS policies and has the required capacity & capability to deliver to the Group strategy
Manage incident, problem and demand ensuring compliance with group, Audit, Vendor and regulatory requirements
To be a primary point for business users and SME’s to resolve issues and provide operational guidance for the service and 3rd party applications
Ability to interpret complex information to develop business outcomes
Broad experience of working within complex IT support environments with a demonstrable record of effective leadership
Knowledge of Release management and Mobile application maintenance & best practice
Knowledge, understanding and experience of software delivery methodologies and the application of them, with a focus on Agile
Expert knowledge of relevant technologies and platforms; e.g. Java (J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot), Distributed/service oriented architectures (SOA & Microservices), RESTful APIs and API gateway solutions (Apigee), containers and container orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
