An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Credit Risk Manager to join YBS for a 12 month period, covering maternity leave. As our next Senior Credit Risk Manager you’ll be at the forefront of defining and leading our credit risk strategy, at a time when strong credit risk management couldn't be more important. You’ll join a like minded team in our Leeds based Customer & Commercial Risk team.
We want to ensure a smooth handover so we would be looking for someone to join us from February 2021.
What You'll Do
Own YBS's collections policy and strategies, ensuring they are effective at supporting customers in financial difficulty when they need us the most and losses are minimised. Your main focus will be the ongoing development and monitoring of policy and strategy, to ensure it remains appropriate in the current uncertain economic, regulatory and political environment.
Be accountable for all matters re portfolio credit risk - constantly monitoring, reporting and stress testing our portfolios to ensure credit dynamics are understood and managed appropriately. A key aim will be providing ongoing assurance to our Risk Committees, Directors and Chief Officers around the credit performance of our Residential, Buy-to-Let and Commercial Lending portfolios.
Lead a team of high performing credit analysts, coaching and developing them to deliver effectively with a strong level of engagement.
Significant experience operating in a similar role at a senior level, displaying subject matter expertise in credit risk management, preferably with Retail Mortgage experience and a previous focus on portfolio management and/or collections and recoveries.
Have a proven track record at collaborating and influencing stakeholders to drive results in support of organisational purpose and strategy.
Be an engaging and dynamic people leader, with a drive and passion to bring the best out of your team.
