As our next Data & MI Developer you’ll be analysing, developing and testing data and MI solutions. You’ll join a likeminded team in our Bradford/Leeds based Business Intelligence function.


What You'll Do

  • Providing stakeholders with consultancy on insights that can help their teams

  • Gather and analyse new business requirements for data, reporting and management information,

  • Design and develop new reporting in line with set standards, principles, patterns and governance

  • Create effective test strategies and ensure testing is robust and documented

  • Develop, maintain or amend the semantic layer and/or data marts required for reporting purposes, including the use of data virtualisation tools where appropriate

  • Work closely with Data Architecture team and create data models and mapping

  • Work closely with Data Governance team and to ensure data quality issues are fixed at source

  • Work with MI analysts to ensure new / changed reports are productionised and follow a structured route to live process within the recognised tools

  • Provide expert guidance and assistance as required to support business users seeking to self-serve MI/data from recognised tools/data sources

  • Commit to a culture of continuous improvement for BI delivery with a focus on leveraging technical toolsets to consolidate and automate reporting

  • Use your knowledge and skills to mentor, boost and upskill other members of the team

  • Comply fully with all regulatory requirements YBSG policies for data governance and information security


How You’ll Do It

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management abilities including senior stakeholders

  • Experience of Data visualisation preferably with Tableau

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP Business Objects toolset and SQL is required

  • Experience with data provisioning via ETL process and data virtualisation software is desirable

  • Experience of data mapping and modelling

  • Experience of data preparation and manipulation

  • Design and develop new reporting in line with set standards, principles, patterns and governance

  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
