Location: Working from home / Broadoak Peterborough
We have an exciting opportunity within our Peterborough Head Office for a self-motivated Customer Due Diligence Consultant who is a team player and is passionate about delivering accurate analysis and assurance of Commercial Lending KYC / CDD related activity. If you are detail orientated, have excellent investigative abilities and the ability to analyse customer profiles in great detail, you will have just the right attributes to help us with our back book remediation exercise. You will have autonomy to drive this project forward in the best manner possible, within our risk based approach framework and will be speaking to customers as part of your role.
What You'll Do
As a Customer Due Diligence Consultant you will deliver an exceptional and comprehensive analysis of our existing customer files from a due diligence perspective, working to project deadlines, communicating with customers where required, and ensuring that we truly understand our customer’s needs and who they are.
You will be responsible for approving the customer risk assessment and the appropriateness of the underlying customer due diligence, by completing a comprehensive assessment of the information on file.
You will decide whether the customer is within our financial crime risk appetite.
You will work to deadlines, move the project forward and be accountable.
You will liaise with our Financial Crime Operations Team where appropriate.
You will support the adherence with the Group’s Risk Appetite Framework in relation to financial crime risks, ensuring adherence to the parameters for decisions making and governance reporting.
How You’ll Do It
Anti Money Laundering checking/onboarding experience of 2-3 years essential
Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport effectively and professionally with colleagues and customers
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to prioritise and effectively manage a project deadlines
Excellent attention to detail with an analytic mind set
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure deadlines are met
