As our new Business Services Support Manager, you’ll provide both cost management expertise, and lead a team which focuses on administrative and cost support to services owned by the function. You’ll join a likeminded team based in our Leeds and Bradford based Shared Services and Resilience function (our teams predominantly work from home; you will only be expected to work onsite a day or two a week at the most).


About the role​​​​​​​

  • Responsible for providing comprehensive management of costs across the function. 

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team to create motivated, engaged, effective and well-trained colleagues.

  • Plan, organize and manage a team coordinating administrative and cost support to the function and services owned by it.

  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate oversight is in place for all administrative and cost activity with quality checks completed where appropriate

  • Take ownership and manage/escalate any issues relating to risks and propose actions to mitigate against re-occurrence, ensuring they are resolved

Hours: This vacancy is for a permanent position. You will be expected to work 35 hours per week between Monday to Friday.


About you

  • Experience and knowledge of managing large budgets, multiple cost centre management, cost control and forecasting.

  • Strong Excel Skills, managing complex data/systems.

  • Experience of leading effective teams

  • Experience of engaging and influencing internal stakeholders, including senior stakeholders.

  • Understanding of operations and services.
