As our next Change Governance & Assurance Consultant you’ll ensure that all involved in change initiatives across Transformation & IT adhere to the Governance framework to deliver assurance across assigned change initiatives, ensuring that each is delivered successfully and optimally to the business. You’ll join a likeminded team in our Leeds based Transformation Governance & Assurance function.


About the role


As Change Governance & Assurance Consultant, you’ll define and communicate the YBSG Change Lifecycle and governance framework, with particular focus on non IT elements of the lifecycle. You will –

  • Work closely with Change Owners to implement a quality plan, which is appropriate for each change initiative.

  • Ensure the governance framework evolves incorporating changing approaches around platforms, and agile thinking.

  • Work closely with Change Owners, Platform Forums, and Senior Managers to ensure that the agreed adoption of the Governance framework (Quality Plan) is applied effectively on every change initiative through every phase with particular emphasis on the non IT components.

  • Support Senior Managers and Change Owners as required with assurance activity to ensure the successful delivery of a change initiative. These assurance activities could include: supporting a deep dive undertaken by a 3rd party, reviewing SOWs, or supporting change practitioners to explore alternative approaches. Providing extensive industry experience on Project/ Platform Management


About you


You’ll have extensive delivery experience within a change management function. In addition, you’ll be able to demonstrate –

  • Senior level experience in the specification and implementation of new standards, policies, or frameworks into an organisation

  • Experience of working with Senior Manager/ Director level stakeholders

  • Extensive experience of working collaboratively with colleagues across different specialisms to assess the viability and suitability of approach

  • Strong communication, engagement and influencing skills

  • Desirable (not essential) - industry experience of working in a product line mgmt. environment and holder of one or more change management qualifications or equivalent (i.e. Prince2, APM, Lean, DevOps, MSP)
