Occupational Therapy Talent Pool

Join Manx Care as a Band 5 or Band 6 Occupational Therapist and help make a real difference to the community of the Isle of Man.

We offer a variety of exciting opportunities, including dynamic rotational roles and a dedicated Band 6 community position. In the rotational roles, you’ll gain experience across various clinics, including orthopaedics, medical care, and self-referrals.

As a Band 5 (Annex T) therapist, you’ll develop core skills with excellent training and senior clinician support, progressing to autonomous practice. Band 6 therapists will manage specialised caseloads, offering diverse challenges and opportunities to expand expertise.

To work as an Occupational Therapist on the Isle of Man you will need to be registered with the UK’s HCPC. Unfortunately if you are not registered we will not be able to accept your application to the Talent Pool.

A workplace that invests in you

A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month. Be promoted to Band 6 within two years. The Band 5 Annex T posts are development posts where you will undergo a period of preceptorship with the aim of gaining the competencies required to fulfil a Band 6 position. During this period, you will be assessed and if you meet the competencies there will be an increase in your salary as you progress up to Band 6.

Enjoy higher salaries compared to the UK, along with annual salary increases that extend beyond typical UK NHS pay scales.

Subject to meeting eligibility criteria, the IOM Public Service offers two pension arrangements; the Isle of Man Government Unified Scheme 2011 or the Isle of Man Government Defined Contribution (DC) Arrangement.
