Location: Nuneaton, Bedworth and Rugby area
Hours: Mon- Sun which may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays . Due to the needs of our customers we require AM/PM availability.

Please note a full driver's license and access to own vehicle are not essential but beneficial for this role.

About the role 

As a Casual Support Worker, you will help people with mental health problems or learning disabilities in their home or out in the community. This might include motivating someone to eat healthily or visit the gym, or providing support to a person with emotional problems. Tasks include (but are not limited to):

  • Maintaining their homes
  • Budgeting and shopping
  • Planning and preparing meals
  • Accessing activities in the community (study, volunteering, social/leisure activities)
  • Maintaining relationships with family and friends
  • Accompanying customers to appointments and/or on excursions
  • Food preparation and cooking
  • Laundry and  housework
  • Support with medication

About the candidate

What matters to us is your ability and determination to support people with mental health problems and learning disabilities, and the values you can bring to Advance. You will be passionate about ensuring the service we deliver is person centred in supporting our customers to develop their confidence, skills, and independence in their homes and in the local community

Whether you want to work a few hours a week, or full-time, if you think a Support Worker role sounds right for you, you will need to be:

  • Flexible to work on a rolling rota
  • Good at working on your own and within a team
  • Excellent at communicating with people
  • Able to complete good quality support records
