Our role

If you’re highly organised, experienced working in a coordination role and have excellent Excel skills, we’re looking for you to join us as a Works Planner. 

Working as part of a team to design overhead line refurbishment and maintenance projects, you will utilise your analytical skills by interrogating data and presenting the project in an approved format suitable for construction. 

As a Works Planner you will work collaboratively with the team to ensure that design work packages are delivered on time. You will be responsible for creating scheme documentation, and when necessary, creating design drawings using our mapping and data collection systems. 

You will need excellent communication skills as you will be responsible for communicating and progressing elements of projects that need interaction with internal and external stakeholders, always striving to deliver an excellent customer experience.

We’d like to hear from you if you: 

  • Are qualified to GCSE or equivalent grades 4 – 9 (A* - C) including Maths and English Language (essential);
  • Are confident in MS Office in particular Excel;
  • Are able to manipulate large volumes of data using advanced excel formulas, able to interpret the data and communicate the data depending on your audience (essential);
  • Are used to working with geographical maps (desirable);
  • Have a working knowledge of CAD and / or other drawing packages;
  • Are self-motivated with a pro-active approach to problem solving;
  • Hold a full UK driving licence (desirable).
