The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (“the Authority”) regulates firms engaged in financial activities, including insurance, pensions, banking, investments, fiduciary services and fund administration. The Authority is also responsible for oversight of anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance for those involved in the financial sector as well as a range of other Designated Businesses, and has oversight of compliance with the Beneficial Ownership Act 2017.
DATA ARCHITECT (2 YEAR CONTRACT)
An exciting and dynamic opportunity has arisen at the Authority for the role of Data Architect in the Supervisory Practices and Innovation Strategy Division.
The Division is at the forefront of the Authority’s ambition to transform itself into a data-driven regulator. The role provides an opportunity to play a leading part in the Authority’s transformation, with the responsibility for all aspects of the Authority’s data framework.
Extensive experience in a related professional role, such as data architect or data modelling, design or management is essential. Skills and experience in some or all of the following are also essential: Microsoft power BI, data analysis expressions (DAX), power query M, excel (including VBA), SQL, SQL management studio and SQL server reporting services (SSRS), online analytical processing (OLAP) and multi-dimensional data cubes, data modelling: design and management, data mining: cleansing, warehousing and visualization, machine learning, business intelligence and reporting including design of effective dashboards, data security and compliance and system testing (including UAT). Strong analytical skills, the ability to work quickly and accurately and the ability to work under pressure and manage a workload of varied complexity are equally essential.
The candidate will hold, or be working towards, a professional qualification in a relevant field, or certification in specific technologies or practices (such as AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, Data Management Professional, data architecture and modelling)
