About the role

Want a role where your skills keep essential public buildings across the Island running safely every day?

As a Craftsperson Plumber, you will work across a wide range of Government sites including schools, sports facilities, health buildings and social care settings. You will maintain, repair and install key mechanical systems such as hot and cold water, steam plant, ventilation, chilled water, medical gas systems and building management controls. Your work will take you across the Island, including time based at Nobles Hospital, carrying out planned maintenance, statutory testing, fault finding and emergency response as part of a multi discipline team.

This role gives you the chance to use your experience on complex systems, build new skills through cross discipline work and see the direct impact of your contribution on buildings that support vital public services. Things to note

Upon reaching the top of your pay band, you may be eligible to receive an additional payment on top of your salary. This is paid to employees to reflect additional skills, qualifications and responsibilities developed within the role. Those qualifying for the 4% rating are classed as the standard trade i.e. ‘Plumber’. Those qualifying for the 12% rating are classed as ‘Approved Plumber’.

A basic police check is required for this post, the cost of which will be covered by the Isle of Man Government.

Please note a relocation package is not available for this role.
