About the role
Want to help protect and shape the future of the Isle of Man’s natural environment?
As an Environmental Protection Officer, you’ll take a hands-on role in safeguarding the Island’s freshwater and, where relevant, marine environments. From investigating pollution incidents and monitoring water quality to issuing licences and driving compliance with environmental legislation, you’ll be out there making informed decisions that directly protect our surroundings. You’ll combine technical expertise with practical action - offering advice, carrying out inspections and stepping in with enforcement when it matters most.
You’ll join a small, close-knit team where collaboration is key, working alongside colleagues across Government and with a wide range of stakeholders. Whether you’re analysing data, regulating waste, or contributing to wider environmental priorities, no two days will feel the same - and your work will have clear, visible impact across the Island.
Bring your expertise to a role where it’s needed - apply today.
Please note that due to the nature of this role, a full, valid driving licence is essential.
