The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (“the Authority”) regulates firms engaged in financial activities, including insurance, pensions, banking, investments, fiduciary services, and fund administration. The Authority is also responsible for oversight of anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance for those involved in the financial sector as well as a range of other Designated Businesses and has oversight of compliance with the Beneficial Ownership Act 2017.
PORTFOLIO SUPERVISION DIVISION – VACANCIES
The Authority is seeking to fill a number of vacancies within the Portfolio Supervision Division. This is an exciting time to join the Authority to help us deliver our objectives which include an updated approach to supervision and oversight, enhanced data management and analytics and the reduction of financial crime. The successful candidates will join an existing Division who are responsible for the efficient supervision of firms across the finance sectors. The successful candidates will be enthusiastic team players who can demonstrate some of the following attributes:
At Assistant Manager level:
- Relevant finance sector industry experience in an operational, compliance, assurance, risk or audit role.
- Holds, or is working towards, a professional qualification relevant to the financial services industry.
- A working knowledge of Financial Services and associated legislation, regulation, and guidance.
- Proven ability to build and maintain working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels including the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Ability to prepare and actively participate in meetings with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
At Supervision Officer level:
- An interest in, and working knowledge of, Financial Services and associated legislation, regulation and guidance.
- Strong organisational skills, including accuracy, attention to detail and record keeping.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
