About the role and our team

We are seeking a competent and accomplished independent chair for our fostering and adoption panels.

This role is crucial to our success in improving outcomes for looked after children, Manx Care is investing strongly in its fostering provision and have also introduced the Fostering Network Mockingbird Model to promote placement stability for children and their carers.

You will need to have an understanding of the Isle of Man Fostering and Adoption standards and have the ability to ensure that the panel functions within a clear anti-discriminatory framework

Manx Care operates at least 2 panels on the last Thursday and Friday of every month, you will be expected to be available for at least 80% of the panel meetings.

What can this role offer me?

· £550 per full day panel chaired and £275 per half day panel chaired

 · Flights and accommodation will be booked in advance by Manx Care
