About the role and our team
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to direct our Agriculture and Food teams within the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
As Director of Agriculture and Food, you will take the lead in developing and growing strategic and collaborative working relationships between the Department and the Agricultural and Food sectors.
You will lead the team to develop and implement strategies and policies, playing a vital role supporting the sustainable development of the Island’s agricultural and food sectors.
You will provide specialist advice and support to the Department Minister and Political Members on matters including policy and legislation, in the areas of Agriculture and Food development.
Operating as a Member of the DEFA Executive Leadership Team you will support the Chief Officer in the delivery of wider DEFA and Government objectives and constructively contribute to corporate initiatives to ensure collaboration and a joined up approach.
