About the role and our team

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Office of Human Resources team. We’re seeking someone who will enjoy using data and turning it into intelligence to help develop HR solutions for departments across the Isle of Man Government.

You will provide insightful data analysis to enable us to make informed decisions about our employees and the organisation.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Manipulate and analyse large volumes of information using appropriate tools and methods to verify data quality and use robust problem-solving abilities
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that provide accurate and timely information to senior leaders and HR professionals
  • Help identify and define key metrics that enable the measurement of performance.
  • Maintaining governance & standards for People data & reporting – e.g. data quality, data dictionary, data architecture, metrics standards & definitions, GDPR requirements.
  • Finding new and innovative ways to present data to ensure that the organisation fully understands the trends, issues, risks and opportunities
  • Support the People Analytics Lead by identifying insights and recommendations in a manner that is easily understood and aids data-driven decision-making

You will need experience in data analysis and be a confident user of IT and computer systems with advanced knowledge of Excel, Power Query, Power BI or other reporting or data programming languages.
