About the role and our team
Join us as a Registered Nurse to develop your career within our energetic and highly skilled District Nursing team!
In this role you will be delivering skilled and evidence-based care to patients who can often have very complex needs. Our District Nursing teams provide and facilitate care to patients and their families within their home environment in order to prevent hospital admissions.
Delivering exceptional standards of quality care is integral to this role, as well as the ability to embrace the challenges of the changing and growing demands of the primary care setting.
This is a rewarding role where you will work in partnership with your patients and their carers in formulating care plans and will work closely with other medical professionals and agencies in the community to ensure they are receiving the best possible treatment and care.
If you are highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about delivering high quality integrated care to our island community, then this could be the role for you!
What can this role offer me?
- By joining us you’ll be stepping away from NHS pressures and demands, as the Island’s healthcare system is similar but separate to the UK NHS
- You will hold a valued and challenging role within the team. Previous community experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
- You will benefit from an induction package and ongoing support from the Community Nursing team.
- Plenty of opportunities for professional development as we offer various courses at our education and training centre Keyll Darree, as well as the Specialist Practitioner Qualification in District Nursing.
- We offer competitive salaries which tend to be higher than UK salaries with opportunities for annual pay increases for many roles.
- You will enjoy generous annual leave entitlement of 27 days and 10 public holidays
- For candidates not on the Isle of Man we will reimburse your interview expenses and give you a relocation package of up to £7,000 to get you, your things and your family to the island.
- For those relocating or returning to the island you will receive a refund on your national insurance contributions made in your first year, this could be up to £4,000!
- Great on site facilities and free car parking
