Join our team as a Sea Fisheries Policy Manager within the Fisheries Division!
The Fisheries Division within the Environment Directorate of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is responsible for the management and protection of fisheries and their supporting ecosystems within the Isle of Man and its territorial sea.
We are looking for someone with fisheries policy experience, an understanding of UK and EU fisheries legislation and who has excellent team management skills to head up the Isle of Man sea fisheries policy and administrative team.
The sea fish industry is worth £12 million to the Isle of Man economy and the Department is committed to its sustainable development.
You would have responsibility for developing effective sea fisheries policy and legislation and for the delivery of licensing, effort and quota management regimes.
If you have great communication and interpersonal skills and are able to build positive working relationships then this could be the role for you.
