About the Role

Are you a friendly and enthusiastic individual who is looking for a rewarding career?

We are seeking Relief Lunchtime Assistants to work as and when required at lunchtimes in various schools across our Island to supervise pupils throughout the lunchtime period in the dining room and in the playground, playing a key role in the lives of young people. 

This role involves communicating with staff at the school including informing them of outcomes of any incidents which may arise, maintaining positive working relationships with your colleagues. You will also engage with pupils by directing them to free tables, encouraging high standards of behaviour and promoting positive play in the playground.

There are no formal qualifications or experience required to be a Lunchtime Assistant. 

Good interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to promote play with children and a willingness to work as part of great teams are essential for this role. You must also be approachable and willing to engage with our children in a positive manner.

Please note an enhanced police check is required for this post which the Department will cover the cost of for you.

A relocation package and interview expenses are not available for this role.
