About the role:

We are looking for a knowledgable and enthusiastic Manx language teacher for the teaching and assessment of Manx in both primary and secondary schools as well as contributing to the production of teaching and assessment resources. You will be fully conversant with all policies and schemes of work of the Manx Language Unit and the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.

You will engage with continuous professional development in relation to the Manx language as well as language teaching and learning methods. ?You will also provide an orderly and stimulating classroom environment that ensures effective teaching and learning.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Teaching Manx in schools in accordance with the policies and schemes of work of the Manx Language Unit.
  • Contributing to the planning, preparation, teaching and assessment of the Manx curriculum and schemes of work.
  • Providing an orderly and stimulating classroom environment that ensures effective teaching and learning
  • Contributing to the development of Manx language teaching and learning resources.

A driving licence and access to your own vehicle will be required for this post.
