Intermittent Roles
Find flexible work that fits around you
Our intermittent roles offer flexible, project-based work across the UK. You can accept work when you're available, with training, equipment and support provided for each project.
Whether you're looking to get started in retail merchandising, put your practical skills to use in installations, or work with some of the biggest names in beauty, there could be a role for you.
MERCHANDISING
Flexible, team-based work. A great place to get started.
Our merchandising roles are ideal if you're looking for flexible, hands-on work and don't necessarily have previous merchandising experience. You'll work as part of a team in major retailers, replenishing and merchandising shelves, following planograms and helping deliver displays to a high standard. Previous retail or merchandising experience is useful, but training is available.
What to expect:
• Project-based, flexible work
• Travelling and staying away from home
• Accommodation with breakfast provided
• Transport provided, including carpooling for non-drivers
• Hands-on work including merchandising, replenishment and displays
Great for: People who are flexible, happy to travel and want to get into hands-on retail work.
INSTALLATIONS
More practical. More independent. Perfect for hands-on people.
If you're handy with tools and enjoy building, fixing and problem-solving, installations could be the right fit. You'll work in retail stores assembling and relocating displays, installing equipment and point-of-sale materials, maintaining stands and merchandising stock.
Previous installation experience is ideal but isn't essential. Strong DIY or home-improvement skills are welcomed. Retail Installer also specifies a full manual driving licence held for more than two years.
What to expect:
• Regional travel, with the current installer spec stating 50–80 miles of home
• A company vehicle for business use, where applicable
• Field-based, project work
• Paid training
• Practical work requiring initiative and problem-solving
Great for: Confident drivers with practical or DIY skills who enjoy working independently and travelling within their region.
BEAUTY
Attention to detail meets some of the biggest names in beauty.
Work with brands including L'Oréal Paris, NYX Professional Makeup, Max Factor, Rimmel and Maybelline, helping keep cosmetic displays fresh, stocked and beautifully presented in major high-street retailers.
You'll use detailed planograms to update stands, re-sequence products, change graphics and visuals, install new parts and maintain displays. Retail or merchandising experience is an advantage, but full training is provided.
What to expect:
• Flexible, project-based assignments
• Regional travel, currently advertised as up to 50 miles from home
• Independent working
• Paid training
• Company van, uniform and PPE provided where applicable
• Hands-on merchandising with a strong focus on presentation and attention to detail
Great for: Detail-focused people who enjoy independent working and take pride in making displays look their best.
