You will provide efficient and confidential administrative support to the House of the Bishops and Safeguarding Team. You will also play a particular role in organising and booking Fringe Meetings and carrying out all other expected administrative tasks such as typing, filing and handling sensitive and confidential material.

Efficient in office experience, and with good Microsoft office skills, you will be personable, self motivated and pro-active. A flexible approach to your work as well as an interest in the workings of the Church of England is desired.

Financial Accounts Officer (Accounts Receivable)

£23,832 p.a. rising to £25,373 p.a.

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts professional to join our busy accounts receivable team. Here, you will perform a wide range of accounting and administrative duties to ensure the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts receivable transactions. This will include ensuring that invoices are issued for services offered by the National Church Institutions promptly, sums allocated are coded correctly on our financial systems, and that payments of invoices are allocated correctly. You will also work closely with other sections within the Accounts department and with other user departments.                 

To be considered for this role, you will need a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C (or equivalent), along with previous experience in a similar role. An excellent communicator, able to work well under pressure, you will also need good numeracy and keyboard skills, as well as a good working knowledge of SAP, MS Excel and Word packages. Experience of VAT and Gift Aid receipts would be a definite advantage, as would some progress towards AAT qualification.

Community is at the very heart of what we do, which is why we’re now looking to recruit a Community Champion Officer to provide new levels of  innovative community engagement. Responsible for enhancing our excellent reputation for volunteer and peer led service delivery, you will lead the recruitment, training and support of volunteer community champions who, in turn, will support local people to achieve health improvements.

To be considered you will need experience of coordinating and managing volunteers from a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities, including recruitment and first line support. You will also need experience of designing, co-ordinating and delivering community-based training and development programmes including personal development. Right now we are looking to recruit a highly efficient and enthusiastic Administrative and Finance Officer to provide professional reception, administrative and financial support throughout the organisation. Responsible for providing that all-important first point of contact with both clients and visitors, your role will include assisting the Chief Executive with financial administration – from recording income and expenditure - to preparation of management reports and audits.

To be considered for this varied and demanding role, you will need experience of providing reception, administration and financial support including bookkeeping and preparation of monthly financial reports. Knowledge of accountancy software is essential.
