We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher (SEN) to join our fantastic team at Prospect House Primary Specialist School

This is a permanent, full time role on Teaching terms offering MPS-UPS plus SEN allowance.

The Opportunity
As our pupil numbers increase, we are seeking an experienced and confident SEN teacher who is ready to contribute to and help shape our high-quality specialist provision in a growing school.

This role is ideal for a skilled practitioner with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who:

You will play a key role in strengthening teaching capacity, modelling excellent practice and contributing to whole-school development.

As a Teacher at Prospect House, you will meet the Teachers’ Professional Standards and fulfil the professional responsibilities expected of all classroom teachers. You will be responsible for securing strong educational progress for pupils and contributing to the development of the school.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver a highly personalised curriculum tailored to individual EHCP outcomes
  • Plan, teach and assess learning in line with pupils’ complex needs
  • Create a safe, inclusive and inspiring classroom environment
  • Support and model effective specialist practice
  • Work closely with therapists, families and external agencies
  • Contribute to self-evaluation and continuous school improvement

Prospect House Primary School

Prospect House is a new free special primary school in Higher Blackley, North Manchester. The school is the first school in the Trust to be open north of the city offering places for children with very significant learning needs and other associated additional needs, aged 3 – 11 years old.
