About the service

At our Forfar Housing Support Service, no two days are the same. We proudly support 4 adults—each with their own unique personalities, strengths and needs—across their own tenancies.

Our service is specially designed for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, including dual sensory impairments, complex communication needs and diabetes. We work closely with families and Welfare Guardians to ensure every person receives the highest quality support, tailored entirely to them.

Role includes

  • Delivering a varied range of personal care
  • Supporting people through behaviours that may challenge you
  • Manual handling and Wheelchair pushing
  • Administering and supporting with medication
  • Cooking/Meal Preparation and Menu planning
  • Support with household tasks including cleaning and shopping
  • Provide support with finances
  • Support to go on holidays or short breaks
  • Writing and maintaining support plans and risk assessments

You’ll be joining a small, welcoming and experienced staff team, supported by a Registered Manager, an on site Locality Manager and a Supervisor. You’ll always have guidance when you need it—but you’ll also have the space to bring your own ideas, energy and compassion to your role. What matters most to us, is you have a genuine passion for supporting people to live full, meaningful, independent lives.

Shift pattern

Shift pattern includes a variety of earlies, lates, and waking night shifts, offering a flexible working structure. Team members work either alone or in a 2:1 arrangement, but always support just one individual to ensure person centred care. Shifts are assigned through a rota system, to maintain consistency and fairness across the team.
