  • This role is driver essential and drivers must hold a full UK driving licence (manual or automatic) to be considered.

About the service

We’re recruiting a compassionate and reliable Female Support Worker* to join a small team supporting two individuals in their own home in the Northfield area of Aberdeen.

Both individuals are deaf and have a learning disability, and we’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting them to live full, active, and independent lives.

About the role

You’ll provide person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs. This includes:

  • Supporting with medication, personal care, and household tasks
  • Assisting with appointments and financial support
  • Encouraging and supporting a wide range of activities such as swimming, football, discos, arts and crafts, horse riding, and even holidays abroad

This is a genuinely varied role where you’ll play a key part in helping people enjoy life and reach their goals.

What you’ll need

  • A full UK driving licence (essential for supporting individuals to activities and appointments)
  • A flexible approach and willingness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and sleepovers
  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude
  • Previous experience is beneficial but not essential – values and willingness to learn are key

Typical shifts

You will be required to work a mix of the following shifts:

  • 10am – 10am (includes sleepover)
  • 10am – 3pm
  • 4pm – 9pm
  • 8am – 4pm
  • 4pm – 8am (includes sleepover)

Please note: shift times may vary slightly to accommodate the individuals’ schedules. Sleepovers are paid at regular rate.
