The Role: Engineering Administrator

Location: Warrington/ Larbert

Reporting to: Head of Maintenance

Role Overview

As part of our Engineering and Maintenance function, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to engineering and maintenance teams, ensuring the efficient coordination of activities, accurate documentation, and compliance with operational and regulatory standards. This role is critical in supporting safe, efficient, and well-documented engineering operations within a fast-paced environment.


Key Deliverables

  • Provide full administrative support to Engineering and Maintenance teams
  • Coordinate planned maintenance and engineering activities via CMMS systems
  • Maintain accurate engineering records including maintenance logs, service reports, and compliance documentation
  • Prepare and process Purchase Orders, GRNs, and invoice checks across internal systems (e.g. Engineering Portal, CODAS)
  • Act as a key contact for suppliers, vendors, and contractors, supporting onboarding and system access
  • Ensure timely delivery and documentation of goods and services
  • Administer CMMS data including equipment registers, work orders, and maintenance tasks
  • Maintain engineering and project documentation in line with document control policies
  • Ensure documentation meets company, regulatory, and quality standards
  • Manage document workflows including version control, approvals, storage, and retrieval
  • Support project teams with document control, including Master Document Registers
  • Assist with technical drawings (DWG files), including minor amendments and document registration

Experience (what I have done)

  • Experience in an administrative role within engineering, maintenance, facilities, or construction environments
  • Experience supporting planned maintenance or engineering operations
  • Experience managing documentation, records, or compliance-related data

Knowledge (what I know)

  • Understanding of CMMS systems (e.g. SAP, Maximo, CAFM or similar)
  • Knowledge of document control processes and standards
  • Awareness of health & safety and compliance requirements within engineering environments
