It takes a special kind of person to work in the Care Sector.  We think that could be YOU!

It's a really exciting time for #TeamMoray!  We’re currently preparing to take on a brand new service in Buckie, which means we're now on the lookout for caring, motivated and reliable people to join us at our new #TeamHighland.   We have various full-time, part-time permanent and relief contracts available.    Our current pay rate is £9.50 per hour, however, there is currently a £10.02 per hour pay award pending.

The Role

The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same.   You'll become part of a team who supports six individuals with various support needs to live in their own homes.  Their homes are all situated in the same housing support complex, so there will be no travel needed while on shift.

As a Support Worker, you’ll assist the individuals with all aspects of daily living including cooking, housework, shopping, medication and personal care.  You’ll also support them with their hobbies and interests too.  Your support will play a huge part in helping them to reach their goals and play an active part in their local community.  For these roles, we will need you to bring an understanding of the important of routines.

About You

At Cornerstone, we don't recruit on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team!  We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need to build an amazing career within the Health & Social Care sector.  We'll even fund your SVQ qualification too!

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, shift patterns will include early mornings, days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

We’ll also have a specific Waking Nights team, so if you’re a night owl, then we’ve got just the role for you too!  If working a Waking Night, you will receive your usual hourly rate plus a nightly payment of £20 per waking night worked.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting your employment with us.

Cornerstone welcomes applications from all sections of the community and actively seeks to increase the diversity of our workforce.
