Our new service is now on the lookout for two motivated and understanding *male colleagues to join our team in Dunfermline as Support Workers. We have a 30 and 39 hour contracts available.
You'll be providing support to a young man within his own residential setting assisting with his day to day personal needs, including meal planning, cooking, support with housework, observation with his medication. He will require guidance to establish and adapt routines and prompting for personal care.
The person we support is very active and enjoys being out and about and loves going swimming, so we’ll need you to be confident in the pool. We would be looking for you to be enthusiastic about participating and supporting him with his interests, plan activities whilst nurturing guiding him to be able to do things independently. By taking a person centred and outcomes focused approach, you will get to know him as an individual and help him recognise his potential.
The young man we support has ADHD, Autism and can display behaviours that challenge so we are ideally looking for individuals with experience in a caring and supportive role. Our Training Academy will give you all the training you'll need if you're successful including the opportunity to complete your SVQ qualification too.

08.00-15.00, 15.00-23.00, with one long shift which is 08.00-23.00 (Sleepover) 07.00-08.00. We work to a 6 week rolling rota with 2 weekends off.
