Application Guidance
Everyone that wants to work with us will need to complete an application form.
The application forms require various documents and photos. For example your valid SIA badge and if you are a Dog handler, you will need to provide a copy of your valid Teams certificate.
Please ensure that you have all the necessary documents prior to submitting your application.
Once your application has been received, we will review it against the vacancy criteria. This may include your location, if you have a valid drivers licence and the level of qualifications you hold.
If we are happy with your application, we will invite you to an interview. This may be face to face or it may be online via Teams.
The person interviewing you will aim to put you at ease and feel comfortable. If you require any reasonable adjustments for your interview, please let us know in advance.
Please prepare for your interview by looking at our website to understand the services we offer, reading our case studies etc.
Be prepared to discuss your experience and the various sites and types of venues you may have worked at.
If after your interview we offer you a position, it will be subject to passing screening and vetting.
We screen and vett to British Standards:7858 and we use an online platform called Deploi to achieve this.
British Standards:7858
To comply with BS:7858 security screening standards, we are required to confirm all periods of employment, education and unemployment (whether receiving benefits or not) for the last 5 years. Therefore, you will be contacted by the company we use to complete our screening and vetting – Deploi. If you are successful after your interview, you will be sent a link to download the Deploi app. On this app you will be able to upload the various forms and photos required to complete the screening and vetting process.
You may feel that the information that is requested is personal and that you do not wish to provide it, that is your choice: However, if you cannot provide the information they require, you will not pass the screening and vetting process. Providing the requested information/documentation quickly will speed up the recruitment process.
· If you have claimed or are currently claiming Universal Credits, you will be required to provide screenshots from the UC Portal for all payments made to you. You will need to click on the ‘view statement by pay date’ to open up the assessment period page required for vetting. Please ensure your name and address are displayed on the screenshot.
· If you have been or are currently unregistered unemployed (not claiming benefits/income) you will be required to provide copies of your bank statements to evidence that no income/benefits were received for this period. Your 5 years employment history records from HMRC will also be required as evidence under BS7858. These can be requested online by visiting www.gov.uk.
· If you have been self-employed, you will be required to provide your Accountants contact details together with 2 or more forms of the following documentary evidence: documents from HMRC (letter confirming when self-employment commenced/ended), bank statements showing payments received, Invoices showing payments received/requested, Accountants contact details (this must be a business email address as personal email accounts are not sufficient) so that we may contact them to confirm your self-employment, trade or client references, Self- Assessment forms for the self-employed period.
· If you have studied or are studying, please provide the name of your College/University together with the dates you studied/are studying and the course/s along with an email address that can be used to contact them.
· If you have been employed, please provide the name of your employers together with their email addresses / phone numbers and the position you held there.
· You will be required to provide your address details covering the last 5 years (including addresses outside of the UK)
If, after reviewing your application and the evidence you provide, we feel that you would not pass the screening and vetting process, your application will not be carried forward.
