The Role

We’re recruiting for a Senior Voice Technical Architect here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Technology Services team.

This role aligns against Senior Technical Architect from the Government Digital and Data Framework.

You’ll be part of the Network Voice and Video Service Team, and will be responsible for the technical design, collaboration, project engagement, and interaction of Voice solutions across the MOJ.

AnchorKey Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and architecture of enterprise voice solutions, analysing business requirements to develop technical solutions that meet them.
  • Definition of standards, best practices, and roadmaps for enterprise voice systems.
  • Collaborate with other technical areas such as networks, security, and platform teams to ensure that solutions are strategically aligned.
  • Evaluate current voice infrastructure, recommending improvements or new approaches and technologies where appropriate.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers and provide oversight to managed service provider solutions.
  • Act as the technical SME on project teams and serve as an escalation point for complex voice-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain architectural documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal security policies.

AnchorPerson Specification

Essential

  • Experienced in designing telephony solutions with strong experience in Unified communications.
  • Proven experience in the production and design of complex Communication systems. Including, requirements discovery and analysis, formulation of solution context, identification of solution alternatives and their assessment, technology selection, and design configuration.
  • Expertise in VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP), PBX systems, SBCs, and carrier services.
  • Deep knowledge of platforms including Microsoft Teams, Unify OpenScape and Genesys Cloud.
  • Experience with cloud voice solutions and hybrid deployments.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills and capable of presenting to both technical and business audiences.

Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for SC vetting.

At the sift stage, applicants will be assessed on the following criteria -

  • Experienced in designing telephony solutions with strong experience in Unified communications.
  • Proven experience in the production and design of complex Communication systems. Including, requirements discovery and analysis, formulation of solution context, identification of solution alternatives and their assessment, technology selection, and design configuration.
  • Experience with cloud voice solutions and hybrid deployments.

At the interview stage, all essential criteria and the four previously mentioned Behaviours will be assessed.
