The Role
We’re recruiting for a Senior Technical Delivery Manager here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Data modelling & Engineering Team.
This role aligns against the Senior Delivery Manager from the Government Digital and Data Framework.
The Data and Analytics Engineering Hub is at the heart of MoJ’s transformation into a truly data-driven department. Our Delivery Managers work with digital teams and external suppliers to help them make data from their services available on the Analytical Platform. They also work with internal users of the Analytical Platform to help shape requirements, strategies, and to deliver this work via Data and Analytics Engineers.
You will lead the delivery of data and analytics services, working closely with engineers, stakeholders, and users to shape strategies and deliver impactful outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary Delivery Manager lead, coordinating end-to-end delivery and acting as the go-to contact for delivery oversight and execution.
- Use tools such as GitHub Projects, Jira, Trello and others to capture requirements, plan work, allocate tasks, and enable communication across users, teams, and suppliers.
- Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to set priorities, define clear outcomes, and drive efficient, standardised delivery practices.
- Lead the delivery of complex, high-risk digital products and services using agile and lean methods, maintaining momentum across teams and portfolios.
- Act as the primary point of accountability and escalation for delivery, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and blockers.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering teams and domain leads to plan, coordinate, and demonstrate the impact of data and analytics delivery.
- Use data, metrics, and insights to inform decision-making, improve delivery performance, and continuously mature delivery approaches.
- Build, maintain, and motivate multidisciplinary teams, creating an environment where teams are protected, focused, and effective.
- Coach and mentor delivery managers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Promote and embed agile and lean ways of working, supporting teams to adopt appropriate tools and techniques.
- Lead cross-team alignment and organisational change through effective communication, workshops, events, and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to the wider delivery management community across Technology Services and Justice Digital, strengthening delivery capability and peer networks.
