Apprenticeships at Wildflower

We have apprentices across all of our nurseries, making an apprenticeship a fantastic way to start your career in early years while gaining hands-on experience and working towards your qualification.

Our apprentices are offered a 38-hour contract on an 18-month fixed-term basis, giving you the time and support you need to learn, develop your skills and become a valued member of your nursery team.

Time to Learn

We know that completing an apprenticeship is about more than learning while you’re in the room. That’s why we provide designated time away from the nursery room for you to complete your coursework, assignments and off-the-job learning.

You’ll also have the support of our fantastic training provider, with a dedicated tutor who will regularly check in with you through weekly and monthly calls to talk about your learning, progress and anything you might need help with.

And you won’t just hear from your tutor. Our Head of Recruitment regularly visits you in your nursery to check in, talk through your progress and make sure you’re getting the support you need.

These visits are usually exactly what you’d expect from Wildflower — a good chat, a cup of tea and, of course, plenty of biscuits and snacks!

What happens when I qualify?

We want our apprentices to see Wildflower as somewhere they can build a long-term career, not just somewhere they complete their qualification.

As you approach the end of your apprenticeship, or once your 18-month fixed-term contract comes to an end, we’ll go through our internal recruitment process with you. This gives us the opportunity to review your progress, experience and suitability for an ongoing role, as well as understand where you’d like your career to go.

Where there is a suitable opportunity and we feel you’re the right fit, we’ll look to offer you a permanent position with Wildflower.
